Özet
Türk eğitim sistemi, yapılan yenilikler ve vizyonundaki değişimleriyle topluma etki etmektedir.
Alanyazın incelendiğinde Türk eğitim sisteminin farklı çalışmalara konu olduğu ancak yapılmış
çalışmaların genel olarak değerlendirildiği bir çalışmanın yapılmadığı görülmüştür. Bu durum
söz konusu çalışmaların genel eğilimlerinin belirlenmesi ihtiyacını doğurmuştur. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türk eğitim sistemi ile ilgili çalışmaların mevcut durumunu analiz etmek, araştırmacılara ve Türk eğitim sistemi paydaşlarına rehberlik etmektir. Çalışmanın örneklemini YÖK
Tez Merkezi, ULAKBİM, Google Scholar veri tabanlarında yayımlanmış 188 akademik çalışma
oluşturmaktadır. “Türk Eğitim Sistemi” ve “Turkish Education System” anahtar kelimeleri kullanılarak taramalar yapılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında yer alan yayınları değerlendirmek için
içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre Türk eğitim sistemi ile ilgili
çalışmaların büyük çoğunluğunun makale formatında olduğu ve en fazla eğitimin sorunlarını,
4+4+4 yeni eğitim sistemini ve Türkiye ile farklı ülkelerin eğitim sistemlerinin karşılaştırılmasını ele alan çalışmaların yapıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmalarda en fazla nitel araştırma
yönteminin tercih edildiği, kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme ve maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemenin
kullanıldığı, en fazla tercih edilen örneklem türünün öğretmen olduğu, en fazla kullanılan veri
toplama aracının doküman incelemesi olduğu ve verilerin analizinde en fazla betimsel istatistik
yöntemlerinin kullanıldığı ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Ayrıca incelenen çalışmaların birçoğunda araştırma yöntemlerinin ve desenlerinin, örnekleme yöntemlerinin, örneklem türlerinin, örneklem
büyüklüklerinin, veri toplama araçlarının ve veri analiz yöntemlerinin belirtilmediği görülmüştür. Araştırmacıların Türk eğitim sistemi ile ilgili lisansüstü çalışmalara ağırlık vermesi,
yapılacak çalışmalarda araştırma amaçlarının yanı sıra yöntem bölümüne de odaklanmaları
önerilmektedir. Araştırmacıların ve eğitim paydaşlarının yapılan çalışmadan faydalanması temenni edilmektedir
The Turkish education system has an impact on society with its innovations and changes in its vision. When the literature is examined, it is seen that the Turkish education system is the subject of different studies, but there is no study that evaluates the studies in general. This situation led to the need to determine the general trends of the studies in question. This study aims to analyze the current situation of studies on the Turkish education system and to guide researchers and Turkish education system stakeholders. The sample of the study consists of 188 academic studies published in YÖK Thesis Center, ULAKBİM and Google Scholar databases. Searches were made using the keywords “Türk Eğitim Sistemi” and “Turkish Education System”. Content analysis method was used to evaluate the publications. Results shows that the majority of the studies are in the form of articles, and the studies mostly covers topics of problems of education, 4+4+4 new education system and comparison of the education systems of Turkey and different countries. It has been revealed that qualitative research methods are preferred at most, easily accessible sampling and maximum diversity sampling are used mainly, teacher is the most preferred sample type, the most used data collection tool is document review, and descriptive statistical methods are used mostly in the analysis of data. In addition, most of the studies didn’t specified research methods and designs, sampling methods, sample types, sample sizes, data collection tools and data analysis methods. It is recommended that researchers focus on postgraduate studies related to the Turkish education system, and focus on the method section as well as research objectives for the further studies. It is expected that researchers and education stakeholders will benefit from the study.
