Özet
Eğitimin niteliğini etkileyen önemli faktörlerden birisi de öğretmen adaylarının aldıkları
hizmet öncesi eğitimin kalitesidir. Bu bağlamda, öğretmen adaylarının, eğitim fakültelerinde
gördükleri derslerde edindikleri bilgi ve beceri düzeyini büyük oranda dersin öğretim elemanının
niteliği belirlemektedir. Özellikle, öğretim elemanlarının alan bilgisi yeterlikleri, eğitimin etkililiğini
sağlamada önemli rol oynar. Bu araştırma, öğretmen adayı öğrencilerin görüşleri çerçevesinde, Ziya
Gökalp Eğitim Fakültesi’nde görev yapan öğretim elemanlarının alan bilgisi yeterliklerini ortaya
koymak amacıyla gerçekleştirilen tarama modelinde betimsel bir çalışmadır. Dicle Üniversitesi Ziya
Gökalp Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Bölümü’nde öğrenim gören 2., 3. ve 4.sınıf öğrencileri
araştırmanın evrenini oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın yapıldığı zamanda, 1. Sınıf öğrencileri araştırma
amacına hitap etmediğinden araştırma evreni içine dâhil edilmemiştir. İlköğretim bölümünde, her bir
sınıfa yönelik birden çok şube bulunduğundan, her bir sınıf düzeyinden rastgele yöntemle bir şube
örneklem olarak seçilmiş ve örneklem grubuna anket dağıtılmıştır. Dönen anketler içinden 466 adedi
dikkate alınmıştır. Anket maddelerine verilen yanıtlara ilişkin veriler, cinsiyet, yaş ve sınıf düzeyi
bağımsız değişkenlerine göre parametrik ve parametrik olmayan sınamalar aracılığı ile
çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmada ulaşılan bulgular, öğretmen adaylarının görüşleri arasında anlamlı
farklılaşmalar oluştuğunu; özellikle 2.sınıf ve 3.sınıfta öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının 4.sınıfta
öğrenim görenlere oranla öğretim elemanlarını daha yeterli bulduklarını ortaya koymuştur.
Araştırmada yer verilen bağımsız değişkenlere göre öğretmen adaylarının, öğretim elemanlarını alan
bilgisi bakımından tüm boyutlarda “ara sıra” düzeyinde yeterli gördüklerini ortaya koymaktadır.
Ulaşılan sonuçlar eşliğinde önerilere yer verilmiştir
The quality of the pre-service education of the teachers is one of the key factors affecting the quality of teaching. In this sense, students’ level of knowledge and ability which they acquired during the classes in the faculties of education, is highly depended on the quality of the lecturers. Especially, the content knowledge capacity of the lecturers plays an important role in the effectiveness of the education. This research is a survey type descriptive study realized for the aim of clarifying content knowledge competences of the lecturers in Ziya Gökalp Education Faculty, within the frame of the opinions of candidate teachers. The students attending 2. 3. and 4. grades, in the Primary Education Department in Ziya Gökalp Education Faculty, constituted the population of the research. Since the 1. grade student did not address to the research aim, at the time of doing the research, they were not included into the research population. And, since there are more than one section at each grade, a section from each grade was chosen randomly to form the sample of the research, and the questionnaires were distributed to the sampling group. 466 of the replied survey were taken into consideration. The data were computed through parametric and non parametric analysis tests, according to independent variables such as gender, age and grade levels. Findings of the research revealed that there were significant differences between the opinions of candidate teachers, especially 2nd and 3rd graders found lecturers more competent than the 4th graders did. Considering all the independent variables, it was understood that teacher candidates found lecturers competent at ‘sometimes’ level. Some recommendations were made concomitant with the obtained results.
