Efficient synthesis of dioxopiperazines-diketopiperzines (DKPs)- and amide from nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA) using microwave irradiation and classical heating were described. All compounds were characterized using H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and elemental analysis. Antimicrobial effects of these compounds are also investigated. All tested compounds showed moderate antimicrobial activity.en_US
