dc.description.abstractThe circumvallate papilla of the rat is a horseshoe - shaped, midline structure situated in the posterior of the tongue. A papilla is often surrounded by a circular moat or trench. The purpose of the present study was to investigate micrometric measurements of circumvallate papillae during postnatal development in male and female rats.en_US
