dc.description.abstractCemil Meriç, fikirleriyle Türkiye’de derin izler bırakmış bir düşünürdür. Eserlerinde birçok konuya yer vermiş, kitaplarında Yahudilik, Hıristiyanlık, Hint Dinleri gibi inanç sistemleri ile kutsal metinleri hakkındaki düşüncelerini de aktarmıştır. Bu çalışmada Cemil Meriç’in Kitab-ı Mukaddes hakkındaki görüşleri ele alınmıştır. Din ve dinler hakkındaki görüşlerini incelemek bir makalenin boyutlarını aşacağı için çalışma Meriç’in Kitab-ı Mukaddes hakkındaki görüşleri ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Meriç, Kitab-ı Mukaddes’i oluşturan bölümlere, bunların derlenmesine ve kanonizasyon sürecine yer vermiştir. Kitab-ı Mukaddes’i ele alırken Tanah/Eski Ahit’e daha çok yer vermiş, sadece Hıristiyanlar için kutsal kabul edilen Yeni Ahit’e daha az yer vermiştir. Makale bir giriş, üç bölüm ve sonuçtan oluşmaktadır. Girişte kısa bir şekilde Cemil Meriç’in hayatı ele alındı ve Kitab-ı Mukaddes ile ilgili çalışması hakkında bilgi verildi. Ardından ilk bölümde Kitab-ı Mukaddes ve Kitab-ı Mukaddes çevirileri incelendi. Daha uzun olan ikinci bölümde Eski Ahit konusuna yer verildi. Üçüncü ve son bölümde Yeni Ahit konusu ele alındı. Çalışma ile Cemil Meriç’in Kitab-ı Mukaddes hakkındaki görüşlerini incelemek ve Cemil Meriç okurlarının ilgili bölümleri daha iyi anlamalarına katkı sunmak hedeflendi.en_US
dc.description.abstractCemil Meric, with his ideas left deep marks inTurkey. He included many topics in his works, andconveyed his thoughts about belief systems suchas Judaism, Christianity, Indian Religions andsacred texts in his books. In this study, his viewson the Bible were discussed. Since examining hisviews on religions may exceed the scope of an ar ticle, the study was limited to Meric’s viewsin theBible. Meric included the sections that make upthe Bible, their compilation and the process of ca nonization. While dealing with the Bible, he gavemore space to the Tanakh / Old Testament, andless to the New Testament, which is consideredas sacred only for Christians. The article consistsof an introduction, three parts, and a conclusion.In the introduction, Cemil Meric’s life was brief ly mentioned, and information about his work inthe Bible was presented. Then in the first part, theBible and its translations were examined. The se cond part, which is longer, dealt with the subjectof the Old Testament. In the third and last part, thesubject of the New Testament was discussed. Theaim of the study was to examine Cemil Meric’sviews on the Bible, and to contribute to Meric’sreaders ‘ for better understanding of the relevantsections.en_US
