dc.description.abstractÖz:Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de bölgeler arası gelişmişlik farkından en çok etkilenen bölgelerden biri olan Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesi illerinin, Türkiye’nin hangi bölgelerine ve hangi illerine yoğun olarak göç verdiği ve Güneydoğu Anadolu Projesi’nin bölgedeki göç hareketini nasıl ve hangi yönde etkilediği incelenmiştir. Ayrıca çalışmada bölge kapsamındaki 9 ilin kendi aralarındaki göç eğilimi de incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın verileri Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu’nun erişime sunmuş olduğu Adrese Dayalı Nüfus Kayıt Sistemi verilerinden derlenmiştir. Çalışmada illerin nüfusu, nüfusun hangi illerde yoğunlaştığı, bölge içine ve bölge dışına göç eğiliminin devam edip etmediği, bölgede en çok göçü hangi illerin verdiği incelenerek genel olarak bölgenin göç tablosu ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre İstanbul’da 944,481, Adana’da 346,423, İzmir’de 263,077 Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesi kökenli kişi yaşamaktadır. Güneydoğu Anadolu Projesi’ne rağmen bölge dışına göç eğiliminin devam ettiği, 2008-2009 yıllarını kapsayan göç rakamlarıyla da anlaşılmaktadır. Bu iki yılda bölgeden başta Akdeniz bölgesine 45,292, İstanbul’a 44,825 kişi olmak üzere toplam 171,910 kişi göç etmiştir. Bölgenin dışarıya göç vermesine rağmen nüfus artış hızı binde 15 gibi yüksek bir düzeydedir. Bölgenin gerek verdiği göç miktarı, gerekse de yüksek doğurganlık oranı, bir sosyal dönüşüm projesi olarak uygulamaya konulan Güneydoğu Anadolu Projesi’nin halen öngörülen amaçlarına ulaşamamış olduğunu göstermektedir.en_US
dc.description.abstractAbstract:In this study, migrational statistics of cities within Southeastern Anatolian Region -which is the most negatively affected region from the inter-regional developmental differences- are analysed to find the migrational trends towards other cities and regions of Turkey and effects of Southeastern Anatolian Project on this migration movements. Also population movements between region’s 9 cities are analysed in the study. Data of the study is compiled from the Address Based Population Register System data, accessed from the Turkish Statistical Institute website. Population of Southeastern Anatolian Region, concentration of population in region’s cities, trend of intra-regional and inter-regional migration movements and main source cities of migration are detected and with these findings, we tried to assess general migrational condition of the region. According to the results of the study, there are 944,481 person in İstanbul, 346,423 person in Adana, 263,077 person in İzmir who were born within Southeastern Anatolian Region. Persistence of migration movements directed to other regions despite Southeastern Anatolian Project is detected after analysing year 2008-2009 statistical data. Within these two years, 171,910 person migrated to other regions with Akdeniz Region coming first with 45,292 person and İstanbul coming second with 44,825 person. Despite the migration-giver status of region, population growth rate is 15 per thousand which is still quite high. Both high migration rate of region and high total fertility rate are indicators of failure of the project as a social transformation project.en_US
