The vegetation of Karaomer Mountain (Amasya, Turkey) was examined synecologically and syntaxinomically. The study area is a transitional zone between the boundaries of Central Anatolia and Middle Black Sea region. From the phytogeographical point of view, it is situated between the Euro-Siberian and Irano-Turanian floristic regions. The vegetation of the study area was analyzed according to the Braun-Blanquet method and the plant associations are classified by considering the characteristic species. Seven new plant associations belonging to three different vegetation types are described in the study area.en_US
