dc.description.abstractAmaç: Migren ve Gerilim Tipi Başağrısı (GTB) en sık görülen iki baş ağrısı tipidir. Biz bu çalışmada, iki farklı baş ağrısı grubunda umutsuzluk, anksiyete ve sosyal benlik saygısı puanlarının farklı olup olmadığını araştırmayı amaçladık. Gereç ve yöntem: Bu çalışmada baş ağrısı yakınması ile başvuran 72 migrenli, 28 GTB’lı ve 50 sağlıklı kontrol grubuyla yürütüldü. Katılımcılar, Genel Bilgi Formu, Sürekli Kaygı Envanteri (SKE), Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği (BUÖ) ve Sosyal Karşılaştırma Ölçeği (SKÖ)’ni doldurdu. Bulgular: Gruplar arasında cinsiyet, yaş, eğitim yılı, medeni durum ve ekonomik durum açısından bir fark yoktu. GTB olan grubun umutsuzluk puanı migreni olan gruptan ve kontrol grubundan daha yüksekti (p=0.001). SKE puanları açısından; GTB ve migren grupları arasında istatistiksel fark yoktu fakat GTB grubunun puanları kontrol grubundan daha yüksekti (p=0.003). Kontrol grubunun SKÖ puanları her iki hasta grubundan daha yüksekti fakat üç grup arasındaki istatistiksel fark anlamlı değildi (p=0.072). Sonuç: Bu bulgular GTB olan hastaların migrenli gruptan daha fazla umutsuz ve sağlıklı kontrol grubundan daha fazla anksiyeteli olduğunu göstermektedir.en_US
dc.description.abstractAim: Migraine and tension type headache (TTH) are two most common headaches. In this study, we aimed to investigate whether the hopelessness, anxiety and social self-esteem scores are different in two headache groups. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted with 72 migraine patients, 28 TTH patients and 50 healthy controls. Participants filled the General Information Form, Hopeless-ness Scale (HS), Spielberger Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI-II) and Social Comparison Scale (SCS). Results: There were no differences between the groups with respect to gender, age, education years, marital status and economical status. Hopelessness scores of the TTH group was higher than the migraine and control group (p=0.001). There were no statistical differences between the migraine and TTH groups with respect to STAI-II scores but TTH group scores higher in study groups (p=0.003). Control group SCS scores were higher than both patient groups with no significant differences (p=0.072). Conclusion: These findings indicate that the patients with TTH have more hopelessness than the migraine group and more anxious than the healthy control group.en_US
