dc.description.abstractBu olguda bir köpekte uygun olmayan doz ve sürede NSAİİ ve kortikosteroid kullanımını takiben şekillenen gastrik ülserasyon ile ilgili deneyimlerin ve risk faktörlerinin bildirilmesi amaçlandı. Çalışma materyalini Dicle Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Hayvan Hastanesi’ne şiddetli dispne, hematemezis ve konvülziyon şikâyeti ile getirilen 25 kg canlı ağırlıkta 2.5 yaşında Akita ırkı köpek oluşturdu. Hastanın klinik muayenesinde mukoza ve konjunktivaların anemik, nabız frekansının 180 vurum/dakika ve rektal ısının 39.2 oC olduğu belirlendi. Tam kan sayımında total lökosit, granülosit sayısının ve ortalama eritrosit hacminin referans değerlere göre yüksek olduğu tespit edildi. Referans değerler ile karşılaştırıldığında serum albumin, glutamat oksaloasetat transaminaz, glikoz, kreatin kinaz ve total bilirubin düzeylerinin yüksek, potasyum düzeyinin ise düşük olduğu tespit edildi. Nekropside gastrik mukozada şiddetli, çeşitli çaplarda ve kenarları düzensiz multifokal ülserlere rastlandı. Steroid ve nonsteroid ilaçların birlikte kullanımının gastrointestinal kanalda meydana getirebileceği şiddetli lezyonlar ve kanamalar gibi potansiyel komplikasyonlarından dolayı risk faktörü olarak değerlendirilebileceği kanısına varıldı.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this case, it was aimed to report the experiences and risk factors related to gastric ulceration following the use of NSAIDs and corticosteroids at an inappropriate dose and duration in a dog. The study material consisted of a 2.5-year-old Akita dog weighing 25 kg that was brought to Dicle University Veterinary Faculty Animal Hospital with complaints of severe dyspnea, hematemesis and convulsions. In the clinical examination of the patient, it was determined that the mucosa and conjunctiva were anemic, the pulse rate was 180 beats/minute, and the rectal temperature was 39.2oC. In the complete blood count, it was determined that the total leukocyte, granulocyte count and mean erythrocyte volume were higher than the reference values. When compared with reference values, it was determined that serum albumin, glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase, glucose, creatine kinase and total bilirubin levels were high and potassium levels were low. At necropsy, severe multifocal ulcers of various diameters and irregular margins were found in the gastric mucosa. It was concluded that the combined use of steroids and nonsteroidal drugs can be considered as a risk factor due to potential complications such as severe lesions and bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract.en_US
