dc.description.abstractOral kavitenin endojen veya eksojen kaynaklı olabilen pigmente lezyonları sıklıkla karşılaşılan bir durumdur. Endojen kaynaklı pigmente lezyonlar en sık melanin birikimi nedeniyle oluşsa da bilirubin ve demire bağlı olarak da meydana gelebilmektedir. Bu vakada tütün kullanımına bağlı keratinize diş etinde oluşan melanosit birikiminin tedavisi amaçlanmaktadır. 23 yaşında erkek hasta diş etindeki renklenme şikayeti ile kliniğimize başvurdu. Hastadan alınan anamnezde herhangi bir sistemik hastalığı olmadığı ve yoğun tütün kullandığı öğrenildi. Yapılan klinik muayene sonucu alt ve üst çenede leratinize diş etinde hiperpigmentasyon sonucu diş etinde renkleşme tespit edildi. Hasta estetik olarak diş etlerinin tedavi edilmesini istemektedir, Hastaya tedavinin uzun süre başarısı için tütün kullanmaması gerektiği veya minimuma indirmesi gerektiği bilgisi verilmiştir. Alt ve üst çenede kanin-kanin arası bölgede depigmentasyon işlemi uygulandı. Hastaya ağrı kesici reçete edilerek, takibe alındı. 8 aylık takibin sonucunda hasta tütün kullanımını azaltmamasına rağmen ilk durumla karşılaştırıldığında diş eti pigmentasyonu hasta memnuniyetini sağlayacak düzeydeydi.en_US
dc.description.abstractPigmented lesions of the oral cavity, which can be of endogenous or exogenous origin, are common conditions. Although endogenous pigmented lesions are most commonly caused by melanin accumulation, they may also occur due to bilirubin and iron. In this case, the treatment of melanocyte accumulation in keratinized gums due to tobacco use is aimed. A 23-year-old male patient was admitted to our clinic with the complaint of discoloration of the gums. In the anamnesis taken from the patient, it was learned that he had no systemic disease and he used tobacco intensively. As a result of the clinical examination, discoloration of the gingiva was detected as a result of hyperpigmentation in the keratinized gingiva in the lower and upper jaws. The patient aesthetically wants his gums to be treated. The patient was informed that for the long-term success of the treatment, he should not use tobacco or should be minimized. Depigmentation was applied in the area between the canine and canine in the lower and upper jaw. Analgesic was prescribed to the patient and he was followed up. At the end of the 8-month follow-up, although the patient did not reduce tobacco use, gingival pigmentation was at a level to provide patient satisfaction compared to the first case.en_US
