Özet

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of the beta biocker carazolol on the duration of parturition. Carazolol which is a beta adrenergic blocker facilitates delivery in gilts. When 0.01 mg/kg of prostaglandin is administered about 24 hours after its analogues, delivery happens in about 1.7 hours. This reduction in the duration of parturition facilitate control of births and increase the economic gain for breeders.
