dc.description.abstractIn this study, a meta-analysis study was conducted to investigate theeffect of the use of smart board on students’ academic achievements inthe teaching of mathematics and science. In this meta-analysis research,35 studies carried out between 2008-2018 were analyzed and 25 studiessuitable for inclusion criteria were combined with the meta-analysismethod. Because of the heterogeneous structure, random effects modelwas used while combining the studies. At the end of the currentresearch, the effect size of the smart board usage on students’achievement in mathematics and science was found as 0.807. Theresearch leads to conclusion that usage of smart boards has a large andpositive impact on improving students’ academic achievement. Whilethe effect size to the academic achievement varies according to thesample group, it does not vary with respect to publication type,publication year, sample size and disciplinary areas.en_US
