dc.description.abstractIn this essay, after specifying our methodology and constraints, we investigate the process of putting music on paper notation studies in western music. In particular, the historical journey of notes that are used in Turkish music is analyzed. By this way, we also discuss advantages and disadvantages of the system of notes for Turkish music. Moreover, information about 'mesk' which is the basis of Turkish music educational system and it's relation with the notation system is analyzed as well.en_US
