dc.description.abstractBu araştırmanın amacı Jo Niemeyer tarafından geliştirilmiş Naef Modulan Toy materyalinin öğretim süreci için görsel tasarım ilke ve öğelerine göre yeterli olup olmadığını değerlendirmek ve bu konudaki öğrenci görüşlerini almaktır. Çalışma 2016-2017 öğretim yılı bahar döneminde, Güneydoğu Anadolu bölgesinde bulunan bir üniversitenin eğitim fakültesi matematik eğitimi anabilim dalında okuyan üçüncü sınıf öğrencilerinden amaçlı örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 48 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Nitel ve nicel verileri barındıran karma desenli araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, Görsel Tasarım İlke ve Öğelerini Değerlendirme Formu (GTİÖDF) ve Öğrenci Görüş Formu (ÖGF) kullanılmıştır. Nicel veriler dört haftalık bir eğitim sürecinin sonrasında kullanılan materyalin yeterliğini değerlendirmeye yardımcı olan GTİÖD formundan, nitel veriler ise öğrencilerin bu konudaki görüşlerini açıkladıkları ÖGF’den elde edilmiştir. Nicel veriler yorumlanırken betimsel istatistikler ve bağımsız örneklem t-testi sonuçları, nitel veriler yorumlanırken ise doğrudan alıntılama yoluyla betimsel analiz yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak kullanılan materyalin öğretim süreci için yeterli olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca öğrenciler, kullanılan materyalin öğretim süreci için uygun olduğunu ve soyut kavramları somutlaştırmada etkili olduğunu görüşlerinde ifade etmişlerdir.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to evaluation whether Naef Modulan Toy material developed by Jo Niemeyer is sufficient for the visual design principles and elements of the teaching process and to take the opinions of the students in this subject. The study was carried out on 48 students selected for the third of the education faculty mathematics education branch of a university located in the Southeastern Anatolian region during the 2016-2017 academic year spring semester. Visual Design Principles and Elements Evaluation Form (VDPEEF) and Student Opinion Form (SOF) were used as a data collection tool in the research which is a mixed patterned study which contains qualitative and quantitative data. Quantitative data were obtained from the VDPEEF, which helped assess the adequacy of the material used after a four-week training period, whereas qualitative data were obtained from the SOF, where students expressed their views on this subject. Descriptive statistics and independent sample t-test results were used when interpreting quantitative data, whereas descriptive analysis was used by direct citation when qualitative data were interpreted. As a result, it was determined that the material used was adequate for the teaching process. They also expressed in the opinion that the material used was appropriate for the teaching process and was effective in embodying abstract concepts.en_US
