dc.description.abstractBu araştırmada BİLSEM öğrencilerinin deprem kavramına yönelik metaforik algılarını incelemek ve bu bağlamda öğrenciler yönetiminde depreme ilişkin teorik ve uygulama esaslı bilgi ve deneyimlerin paylaşımı ve deprem faaliyet programlarının düzenlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın katılımcı grubunu, 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılında Diyarbakır ili Kayapınar BİLSEM’de öğrenim gören 86 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri, yarı yapılandırılmış açık uçlu soru formu aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Formda öğrencilerin her birinden “Deprem ….. benzer, çünkü …..” cümlesini deprem algılarını ortaya çıkaracak şekilde tamamlamaları istenmiştir. Verilerin analiz edilmesi ve yorumlanmasında, içerik analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre öğrencilerin algılarına dayalı olarak “Deprem” kavramına ilişkin 62 adet metafor üretilmiştir. Öğrenciler tarafından üretilen metaforlar incelendiğinde salıncak, kıyamet, beşik, canavar, gondol metaforlarının en çok ifade edilen metaforlar olduğu görülmektedir. Öğrenciler tarafından üretilen 62 adet metafor araştırmacılar tarafından Sarsıntı, Korku, Ani ve Yıkım olarak 4 kategori altında toplanmıştır. Çocukların duygusal sistemlerine bağlı olarak hayal güçleri, okudukları kitaplar, izledikleri filmler ve yakın çevrelerinin metafor temsillerine yansıdığı görülmüştür.
dc.description.abstractIn this study, the metaphorical perceptions of BİLSEM students towards the concept of earthquake were examined, aiming to share theoretical and practical knowledge and experiences related to earthquakes under the management of students and to organize earthquake activity programs. The participant group of the study consists of 86 students enrolled in Kayapınar BİLSEM in Diyarbakır province during the 2023-2024 academic year. Research data were collected through a semi-structured open-ended question form. In the form, students were asked to complete the sentence "Earthquake is like ..., because ..." in a way that would reveal their earthquake perceptions. Content analysis technique was used for the analysis and interpretation of the data. According to the research results, a total of 62 metaphors related to the concept of "Earthquake" were produced based on students' perceptions. When the metaphors produced by the students were examined, it was observed that the swing, apocalypse, cradle, monster, and gondola metaphors were the most frequently expressed ones. The 62 metaphors produced by the students were categorized by the researchers under 4 categories as Tremor, Fear, Suddenness, and Destruction. It was observed that children's imaginative powers, the books they read, the movies they watched, and their immediate surroundings were reflected in metaphorical representations based on their emotional systems
