dc.description.abstractBu tezde eliptik eğri şifrelemenin matematiksel temelleri ve tanımları yapılmış olup, El-Gamal eliptik eğri şifreleme uygulaması geliştirilmiştir. Eliptik eğri şifreleme algoritması RSA şifreleme algoritması ile karşılaştırılmış ve açık anahtarlı şifrelemede, algoritmayı oluşturan temel matematiksel yapının, özel anahtar uzunluğundan daha önemli olduğu ve eliptik eğri şifreleme algoritmasının RSA algoritmasından daha yüksek güvenlik sağladığı görülmüştür. dc.description.abstractIn this thesis, the mathematical basis and definition of elliptic curves are studied and the application of El-Gamal elliptic curve crypto system is realized. The algorithm of the elliptic curve cryptography is compared with the powerful algorithms of public key crypto systems such as RSA and in the public key cryptography, the essential mathematical function behind the algorithms are found to be more important than the length of the private key and elliptic curve algorithm is secure than RSA . Example desktop application of the elliptic curve crypto system is written in basic java programming. Key Words: Elliptic Curve Algorithm, Cryptology
