Özet
Osmanlı Devleti’nin son yıllarında, devletin felahı ve bekası için birçok alanda ıslahatlar yapılmıştır. Osmanlı aydınları ve
devlet adamları, değişen ve dönüşen dünyaya uyum sağlamak, çağın gerisinde kalmamak amacıyla idari, siyasi, askerî vb.
muhtelif alanlarda yeni teşebbüslerde bulunmuştur. Tanzimat Dönemi’yle birlikte eğitim sistemindeki aksaklıklar da
görülmüş ve temel eğitime verilen önem artırılmıştır. Doğrudan eğitim alanında uzmanlaşmış kişilerin yanı sıra birçok yazar,
bu konuya eğilmiş ve çeşitli eserler neşretmiştir. Şair, mühendis, mütercim gibi vasıflara sahip olan İbrahim Aşkî Tanık da
hem Osmanlı Devleti’nin son yıllarında hem de Cumhuriyet’in ilk dönemlerinde eğitim meselesine duyarsız kalmamış ve
bu alanda çeşitli eserler yayımlamıştır. Yazar, bir yandan çocuk edebiyatıyla ilgilenirken diğer yandan çocuk eğitiminin
önemine dair teorik eserler kaleme almıştır. Bu çalışmada İbrahim Aşkî’nin hayatı ve eserleri hakkında kısa bilgi verilmiş,
yazarın eğitimle ilgili eserlerinden bahsedilmiş ve Gün Doğuşu dergisindeki eğitimle ilgili iki yazısı üzerine bir inceleme
yapılmıştır. Ayrıca söz konusu yazılar, Latin harflerine aktarılıp makalenin sonuna eklenmiştir.
In the recent years of the Ottoman Empire, many reforms were made in areas for the salvation and survival of the state. In order to adapt to the changing and transforming the world and in order not to lag behind the times, Ottoman intellectuals and statesmen made new initiatives in administrative, political, military and other fields. With the Tanzimat Period, the problems in the education system were also seen and the importance given to basic education increased. In addition to people who were directly specialized in the field of education, many writers focused on this subject and published various works. İbrahim Aşkî Tanık, who had qualifications as a poet, an engineer, and a translator, did not remain indifferent to the issue of education both in the last years of the Ottoman State and in the first periods of the Republic. He published various works in this field. While the author was interested in children's literature, he also wrote theoretical works on the importance and details of children's education. Short information about İbrahim Aşkî's life and works is given in this study, the author's works regarding education are mentioned and an analysis is conducted on two articles about education in Gün Doğuşu journal. Furthermore, the articles in question were transferred to Latin letters and added to the end of the article.
