dc.description.abstractTarihin her döneminde farklı alanlarda rastladığımız mermer, uygarlık seviyesine göre kullanım alanları değişen bir çeşit kayadır. Her dönemde olduğu gibi günümüzde de önemini koruyan mermer, yapı sektöründe ve sanat eserlerinde kullanılan başlıca ve vazgeçilmez doğal kaynaktır. Diyarbakır’ın jeoekonomik potansiyeli dikkate alındığında, mermer sektörünün stratejik bir konumda olduğu ve kentin Türkiye ortalamasının üzerinde avantajlara sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Fakat bu avantajlarının yanı sıra sektörün pek çok yapısal sorunu da bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, mermer sektöründeki makro gelişmeler ile ulusal ve küresel trendler incelenmiş; sektörün kentsel değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Bu kapsamda; sektörün ilgili aktörleri ve işletme temsilcileri ile yüz yüze görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Yapılan görüşmelerden anlaşıldığı üzere, Diyarbakır’daki üretici firmaların işletmecilik faaliyetleriyle ilgili ciddi eksiklikleri bulunmaktadır. Bu çerçevede, firmaların mevcut eksikliklerini giderecek yeniden yapılanma stratejilerine ihtiyaçları vardır. Ayrıca firmaların üretim performanslarına, gelişimlerine ve rekabet güçlerine katkı sağlayacak, ileriye taşıyacak güncel teşvik ve destek programlarının ve kamusal düzenlemelerin hayata geçirilmesi faydalı olacaktır.
dc.description.abstractMarble, which we have come across in different areas in every period of history, is a kind of rock whose uses vary according to the level of civilization. Marble, which retains its importance today as in every period, is the main and indispensable natural resource used in the construction sector and works of art. There are natural stones such as sedimentary origin and basalt with different colors and patterns with high block efficiency in Diyarbakır. Diyarbakir has advantages over the average of Turkey on the basis of the potential and use of natural stone. However, in addition to these advantages, the sector also has many structural problems. In this study, macro developments in the marble sector and national and global trends were examined and urban evaluation of the sector was carried out. In this context, face-to-face interviews were conducted with the relevant actors of the sector and business representatives. As it is clear from the interviews, the manufacturing companies in Diyarbakir have serious shortcomings related to their operational activities. Against this background, firms need restructuring strategies that will correct their current shortcomings. In addition, it will be useful to implement current incentive and support programs and public regulations that will contribute to the production performance, development and competitiveness of companies and move them forward
