dc.description.abstractTaş ocağı ve nekropol alanının birlikteliğinden oluşan, benzeri örneklerine az rastlanan Dara nekropol alanı, kültürel peyzaj değerleri açısından önemli bir alandır. Kültürel katmanlığın ve gömü rituellinin mekânsal ve işlevsel çeşitliliğinin izlendiği alanda, Büyük Galerili Mezar yapısı mekânsal özellikleri ve mitiyle diğer yapılardan farklılaşmaktadır. Bazı araştırmacılar tarafından “dirilişin mekânı” olarak tanımlanan yapı içinde bulunduğu bağlamın tekil mekanlarından biri olmaktadır. Ancak bu değerli yapı çeşitli etkiler sonucu zamanla malzeme bozulmalarına uğramıştır. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı Mardin Antik Dara Kenti (Anastasiopolis) Nekropol alanında bulunan Büyük Galerili Mezar yapısının taş malzeme sorunlarının belgelenmesidir. Çalışmada yöntem olarak lazer tarama yöntemi kullanılmış ve ortofoto görüntüler elde edilmiştir. Yapıya dair taş malzeme sorunları saha gözlemleri sonucu elde edilmiş ve ortofotolardan elde edilen analitik çizimler üzerinde malzeme sorunlarına dair mevcut durum haritalanmıştır. Çalışmada yapıda en fazla görülen malzeme bozulmalarının, hava kirleticilerinin içinde bulunan çeşitli maddeler ve çevresel kaynaklı tuzlar sebebiyle oluştuğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Elde edilen bu sonuç, farklı ülkelerde özellikle taş mimarinin en yoğun olduğu Mısır gibi ülkelerde tespit edilen taş yapı malzemelerinin bozulmasının temel sorunlarının hava kirleticilerinden ve çevresel etkilerden kaynaklı gelen tuzların etkimesi sonucu taş yüzeyinde ayrışmalar ve yüzey kirliliği oluşturduğu bulgusuna Türkiye bağlamında da destek vermektedir.
dc.description.abstractDara’s necropolis area, which is consisted of an association of the quarry and the necropolis area and which the similar examples are encountered rarely, is an important area with respect of its cultural landscape values. In the area, where the spatial and functional diversity of cultural stratal and burial ritual are observed, the structure of the Tomb with Great Gallery differentiates from the other structures with its spatial characteristics and myth. The structure, which is defined as the “place of revival” by some researchers, becomes the single space of the context, in which it is located. However, this valuable structure has been exposed to material deteriorations in time as a result of various effects. Within this context, the aim of the study is to document the stone material deteriorations of the structure of Tomb with Great Gallery, located within the Necropolis area of the Ancient City Dara (Anastasiopolis), Mardin. The methods of documenting via photographing, observational determination, and terrsetrial lazer methods were used in the study. In the study, it was concluded that the most frequent material deteriorations were caused by various substances and environmental-origin salines existing in the air pollutants. The finding obtained supports the finding determined in different countries, particularly those such as Egypt, where stone architecture is present most intensely, that the basic deterioration problems of stone construction materials caused are due to the decomposition on the stone surface and surface contaminations caused by the affection of the saline caused air pollutants and environmental effects, also within the context of Turkey.
