Matematik eğitimi bağlamında özel gereksinimli bireyler ile ilgili yapılan çalışmaların incelenmesi: Bir meta sentez çalışması

Özet
Türkiye'de özel gereksinimli bireylerin hakları yasal güvenceye alınmasıyla birlikte özellikle son yıllarda özel gereksinimli bireylerle ilgili birçok disiplinde araştırma yapılmış ve yapılmaya devam edilmektedir. Bu doğrultuda çalışmanın amacı Türkiye'de matematik eğitimi bağlamında özel gereksinimli bireyler üzerine gerçekleştirilmiş çalışmalardan yola çıkarak ortak bir kavrama meta-sentez yöntemi ile ulaşmaktır. Çalışmanın verileri "Yükseköğretim Kurulu Ulusal Tez Merkezi" veri tabanlarında "engelli ve matematik" gibi anahtar kelimeler taratılarak ulaşılan çalışmalardan elde edilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamına giren çalışmalar ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenmiştir. Buna göre 65 lisansüstü tez meta-senteze dâhil edilmiştir. Veriler meta-sentezin doğasına uygun bir şekilde incelenmek üzere veri analiz sürecine hazırlanmıştır ve içerik analizi tekniğiyle incelenmiştir. Analiz sonucu elde edilen kodlar ve temalar bulgular bölümünde tablolar eşliğinde sunulmuştur. Meta-senteze dâhil edilen çalışmalar; amaçları, işe koşulan veri toplama araçları, seçilen matematik konuları, özel gereksinimli bireylerin tanısı, sonuçları ve önerileri başlıkları altında toplanmıştır. Çalışmalar "Durum tespiti", "Var olan uygulamalar", "Yöntem ve teknikler", "Öğretimin etkisinin belirlenmesi" ve "Bilişsel stratejiler" olmak üzere 5 tema ve 32 alt tema olarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre durum tespiti altında öğretmen görüşlerine çok fazla yer verildiği, var olan uygulamaların farklı durum ve ortamlara genellenebilir ve sürdürülebilirliği, özel gereksinimli bireylere uygulanan bazı yöntem ve tekniklerin olduğu ve bunların öğretime etkisinin olumlu yönde olduğu ve problem çözme gibi bilişsel stratejilerin kullanıldığı çalışmalara önem verildiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
With the rights of individuals with special needs being legally secured in Turkey, research has been conducted and continues to be conducted in many disciplines regarding individuals with special needs, especially in recent years. In this regard, the aim of the study is to reach a common concept through the meta-synthesis method, based on the studies carried out on individuals with special needs in the context of mathematics education in Turkey. The data of the study was obtained from studies accessed by scanning keywords such as "disabled and mathematics" in the databases of the "Yükseköğretim Kurulu Ulusal Tez Merkezi". The studies included in the research were determined by the criterion sampling method. Accordingly, 65 graduate theses were included in the meta-synthesis. The data were prepared for the data analysis process to be examined in accordance with the nature of meta-synthesis and were examined with the content analysis technique. The codes and themes obtained as a result of the analysis are presented with tables in the findings section. Studies included in the meta-synthesis; They are collected under the headings of their objectives, data collection tools used, selected mathematics subjects, diagnosis of individuals with special needs, results and recommendations. The studies were examined as 5 themes and 32 sub-themes: "Due diligence", "Existing practices", "Methods and techniques", "Determination of the impact of teaching" and "Cognitive strategies". According to the results of the study, teachers' opinions were given great importance in the situation determination, the generalizability and sustainability of existing practices to different situations and environments, that there were some methods and techniques applied to individuals with special needs and that their effects on teaching were positive, and importance was given to studies in which cognitive strategies such as problem solving were used. conclusion has been reached.
