Özet
The emergence of the smartphone technology led to so many changes in everyone’s life from communicating each other to online shopping and entertainment and studying etc. On the other hand, this technology also provided new opportunities and applications in different fields of science. This chapter presents an overview of the design, fabrication and applications of smartphone-based sensor systems. The chapter starts with the history and importance of the smartphone technology. Then, various interesting and of successful applications of smartphone-based sensor systems (i.e. smartphone-based colorimetric sensors, smartphone-based luminescence & fluorescence sensors and smartphone-based spectrometers) are presented.
