Öğe Acidity of silica-alumina catalysts by amine titration using Hammett indicators and FT-IR study of pyridine adsorption(1999) Yurdakoç, Mehmet Kadir; Akçay, Mehmet; Yurdakoç, Mürüvvet; Tonbul, YalçınIn this study, characterization and surface acidity of Siral ($SiO_2-Al_2O_3$) compounds were investigated with Hammett acidity functions, the n-butylamine titration method and FTIR analysis of the spectra of pyridine adsorption. All the samples had an acid strength of $H_oleqle$+2.8. The calculated total amount of acid of the samples increased with the increase in $SiO_2$ content up to Siral 40 and then decreased sharply in the case of Siral 80. Maximum amount of acidity was observed in the case of Siral 40 as 1.37mmole/g. No evidence was found for a band at 1540 $cm^{-1}$ on Pural indicating that there were no Bronsted sites on the surface strong enough to react with pyridine. As a result, we can say that the Lewis sites predominate in all the silica-aluminas.Öğe Fe(III)-VALEX KOMPLEI_(SİNİ_N SENTEZ_İ, _KARAKTERİZASYONU VE ANTIOKSIDAN AKTIVITESI(2016) Altaş, Sevcan; Tanrıkut, Sevil Emen; Erdem, Pelin; Kızıl, Murat; Yurdakoç, MürüvvetPalamut meşesi (Quercus ithaburensis sp. macrolepis), palamut ağacının meyvesi olup Türkiye'nin Batı Anadolu bölgesinde geniş ölçüde yetişir ve tanen açısından zengindir. Bu meyvelerde pek çok alanda kullanılan ve Valex adı verilen hidrolizlenebilir tanenler bulunmaktadır. Valex'in demir(III) kompleksi sentezlenmiş ve çeşitli teknikler kullanılarak karakterize edilmiştir. Kompleksin stokiyometrisinin pH 4,4'de MZL olduğu ve kararlılık sabiti (K)'nin 1,5 108 Lzmol'2 olduğu bulunmuştur. Fe(III)-Valex kompleksinin antioksidan, antimikrobiyal ve antifungal aktivitesi çalışılmıştır. Fe(III)-Valex kompleksinin antioksidan aktivitesi 2,2-difenil-1-pikrilhidrazil (DPPH) radikal süpürme aktivitesi ile ve butillenmiş hidroksianisol (BHA) ile butillenmiş hidroksitoluen (BHT) karşısındaki aktivitesi ile bulunmuştur. Kompleksin antimikrobiyal aktivitesi beş farklı bakteriyel kültür ve bir mantar kültürü kullanılarak disk diffüzyon testi ile belirlenmiştir. Fe(III)-Valex kompleksinin antioksidan aktiviteye sahip olduğu, ancak denenen mikroorganizmalara karşı herhangi bir antimikrobiyal ve antifungal aktivite göstermediği bulunmuştur.Öğe Solvent extraction of $La^{3+}$ with ethylenediamine-N,N'-ditetradecyl-N,N'-diacetic acid (EDDAT) in dichloromethane(1998) Hoşgören, Halil; Yurdakoç, MürüvvetEthylenediamine-N,N'-ditetradecyl-N,N'-diacetic acid (EDDAT) was synthesized for the solvent extraction of $La^{3+}$ . EDDAT was prepared from ethylenediamine-N,N'-diacetic acid (EDDA) and tetrade-cyl bromide in a basic n-amylalcohol-ethanol-water solvent system. The structure of this new extracting reagent was identified according to spectroscopic data, i.e. $^{13}C$ NMR, $^1H$ NMR, and elemental analysis results. The solvent extraction of $La^{3+}$ with EDDAT in dichloromethane was studied as a function of parameters of the aqueous and organic phases. The optimal extraction conditions were determined. The extraction yield increased with a decrease in hydrogen ions in the aqueous phase. Stripping of the $La^{3+}$ loaded organic phase was achieved with HCl aqueous solution. The effect of stripping as a function of the HC1 concentration was also studied.Öğe Synthesis of a new stable peristatic chiral pseudocryptand for simultaneous binding of boron and sodium(Hetero Corporation, 2005) Toğrul, Mahmut; Topal, Giray; Yurdakoç, Mürüvvet; Hoşgören, HalilA new selective molecular receptor, borocryptate, based on the combination of the 15 membered ring diazatrioxa core and two saligenin units as binding sites for boron has been described. The resulting peristatic chiral compound is stable in air and easily converted to polynuclear complex, Na-borocryptate, without using an inert atmosphere.
