Öğe Crystal structure of 2,2-dimethyl succinic acid(Japan Soc Analytical Chemistry, 2003) Özcan, Y; Osmanoglu, S; Ide, SThe title compound crystallizes triclinically in space group of P1. The C-2-COOH and C-3-COOH molecular groups are planar. The crystal structure is stabilized by the formation of intermolecular (O-H...O) hydrogen bonds.Öğe Electron paramagnetic resonance of gamma irradiation damage centres in acetyl and carbamyl-?-methyl choline chloride(Science Reviews Ltd, 2003) Osmanoglu, S; Baskan, MHThe EPR spectra of gamma-irradiated powders of acetyl-beta-methyl choline chloride (AbetaMCCl) and carbamyl-beta-methyl choline chloride (CPMCCl) indicated the existence of the [Me3NCMeCH2OCOMe]Cl radical in the former and of the [Me3NCMeCH2OCONH2]Cl radical in the latter.Öğe EPR of gamma irradiated N?-monochloroacetyl-?-aminoisobutyric acid(Verlag Z Naturforsch, 2004) Baskan, MH; Osmanoglu, SElectron paramagnetic resonance of gamma-irradiated single crystals of N-alpha-monochloroacetyl-alpha-amino-isobutyric acid were investigated at room temperature and 130 K. The paramagnetic center as attributed to the (CH3)(2)CCOOH radical.Öğe EPR of gamma irradiated single crystal of 2,2-dimethyl succinic acid(Verlag Z Naturforsch, 2002) Osmanoglu, S; Baskan, MH; Güner, TThe EPR technique has widely been used to identify the damage centers produced by high energy radiation [1, 2, 3]. The present work deals with 2,2-dimethyl succinic acid, 2,2-DMSA, HOOCCH2C(CH3)(2)COOH. Free radicals, produced by gamma irradiation of single crystals, were investigated between 120 and 300 K with EPR spectra. The spectra were taken at 10-degree intervals for magnetic fields B applied in each of the three crystallographic planes, ab, bc, and ca. The spectra were independent of temperature. The g value and hyperfine coupling change, when the crystal is rotated around the axes a, b and c, and therefore are anisotropic.Öğe EPR of gamma irradiated single crystals of N-acetyl- and N-carbamyl-?-aminoisobutyric acid(Verlag Z Naturforsch, 2003) Osmanoglu, S; Baskan, MHThe (CH3)(2)CCOOH radical has been observed in the EPR spectra of gamma-irradiated single crystals and powders of N-acetyl-alpha-aminoisobutyric acid and N-carbamyl-alpha-aminoisobutyric acid.Öğe EPR of gamma-irradiated L-glutamine hydrochloride and N-carbamoyl-L-glutamic acid(Walter De Gruyter Gmbh, 2005) Osmanoglu, S; Aydin, M; Baskan, MHThe electron paramagnetic resonance spectra of y-irradiated L-glutamine hydrochloride and N-carbamoyl-L-glutamic acid single crystals have been investigated at room temperature. Radiation damage centres are attributed to CH, NH2 and CH2C(NH2)COOH radicals.Öğe EPR of gamma-irradiated single crystals of 3-hydroxyquinuclidine carboxylic acid-(3) hemihydrate(Pergamon-Elsevier Science Ltd, 1997) Osmanoglu, S; Koksal, FElectron paramagnetic resonance of gamma-irradiated single crystals of 3-hydroxyquinuclidine carboxylic acid-(3) hemihydrate were investigated at room temperature and at 130 K. The paramagnetic species was attributed to the (CH2)(3)N(CH2)(2)COHCOOH radical. The principal values of the hyperfine coupling tensor of the unpaired electron with the methylene protons, and the principal values of the g tensor were determined. The results were found to be in good agreement with the existing literature data and theoretical predictions. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
