Özet
The EPR technique has widely been used to identify the damage centers produced by high energy radiation [1, 2, 3]. The present work deals with 2,2-dimethyl succinic acid, 2,2-DMSA, HOOCCH2C(CH3)(2)COOH. Free radicals, produced by gamma irradiation of single crystals, were investigated between 120 and 300 K with EPR spectra. The spectra were taken at 10-degree intervals for magnetic fields B applied in each of the three crystallographic planes, ab, bc, and ca. The spectra were independent of temperature. The g value and hyperfine coupling change, when the crystal is rotated around the axes a, b and c, and therefore are anisotropic.
