Forty-six boys with urethral injuries that were treated were retrospectively analysed to review our results with early primary realignment and delayed urethroplasty. Thirty-six children were treated with early primary realignment while 10 had a delayed urethroplasty. Urethral strictures developed in 14 cases (39 %) of the realignment group and in 2 cases (12 %) of the urethroplasty patients. The primary realignment patients had a more unfavorable outcome when compared to the delayed repair group. We believe that delayed urethroplasty should be favored to early primary alignment in childhood posterior urethral injuries.Öğe A congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation case(1991) Aydin G.; Ariturk E.; Dokucu A.I.; Nergiz Y.[No abstract available]Öğe EFFECT OF ALTERNATING CURRENT ON BACTERIAL GROWTH.(IEEE, New York, NY, USA, 1986) Atalay N.; Aydin G.; Pamuk F.Effects of alternating current of different magnitudes on bacterial growth were investigated. The numbers of bacteria in E. coli K12 liquid cultures were found experimentally and the variations in these numbers caused by the electrical effect was observed with a digital spectrophotometer and evaluated numerically in synchronization with the control groups. 0-30 mA currents with the frequencies 30, 90, 120 and 800 Hz were applied to the cultures in log phase in 2-h periods. The change in the numbers of bacteria with respect to the current and the frequency was observed.
