Öğe Asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of ketones by N,N-containing quinazoline-based ruthenium(II) complexes(Elsevier, 2016) Kucukturkmen, Cigdem; Agac, Ahmet; Eren, Aysel; Karakaya, Idris; Aslantas, Mehmet; Celik, Omer; Ulukanli, SabriThe novel set of quinazoline-based chiral ligands was synthesized starting from optically pure amino acids. Coordination with RuCl2(PPh3)dppb gave ruthenium(II) N-heterocyclic complexes 4b-d. The structure of complex 4b was fully illuminated by X-ray crystallography. The steric environment of these chiral ruthenium complexes 4b-d was evaluated in asymmetric transfer hydrogenation (ATH) of prochiral ketones in the presence of (NaOPr)-Pr-i by using 2-propanol as the hydrogen source and solvent. The resultant catalytic system can achieve very good enantioselectivities (up to 91%) and high yields (up to 99%). (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. The synthesized metal complexes were used as catalysts for the chemical fixation of CO2 into cyclic carbonates using epoxides which were used as both substrate and solvent. According to analytical, UV-visible and IR data, the metal complexes are formed by coordination of the N and O atoms of the ligands and the metal : ligand ratio was found to be 1:2 for all the complexes. The TG and DTA results showed that these complexes had good thermal stability. The molecular structures of ligand 2 ((LH)-H-1) and its Zn-II complex 4 (Zn(L-1)(2)) were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. After choosing the most active catalyst (Zn(L-1)(2), 4), optimization studies were performed by changing various parameters. Ionic liquids have been found to have a positive effect and showed the most active performance with (bmim) PF6+ Zn(L-1)(2) (4) as a binary catalytic system.Öğe Chemical fixation of CO2 into cyclic carbonates by azo-containing Schiff base metal complexes (vol 39, pg 7786, 2015)(Royal Soc Chemistry, 2015) Ikiz, Mesut; Ispir, Esin; Aytar, Emine; Ulusoy, Mahmut; Karabuga, Semistan; Aslantas, Mehmet; Celik, Omer[Abstract Not Available]Öğe Crystal structure and synthesis of 2,2-dimethyl-5-(prop-2-yn-1-yloxy)-4H-benzo[d][1,3]dioxin-4-one(Int Union Crystallography, 2015) Akmansoy, Cigdem; Akmansoy, Cigdem; Celik, Omer; Celik, Cumali; Simsir, Tuba; Aslantas, Mehmet[Abstract Not Available]Öğe Crystal structure and synthesis of two complexes: bis[(2-aminobenzamide)(benzoate)]copper(II) and bis[(2-aminobenzamide)(benzoate)]cobalt(II)(Int Union Crystallography, 2015) Ava, Canan Aytug; Celik, Omer; Kiyak, Tuba; Arslan, Akif; Aslantas, Mehmet[Abstract Not Available]Öğe Crystal structure of rac-3-hydroxy-2-(p-tolyl)-2,3,3a, 4,7,7a-hexahydro-1H-4,7-methanoisoindol-1-one(Int Union Crystallography, 2015) Aslantas, Mehmet; Celik, Cumali; Celik, Omer; Karayel, ArzuIn the title compound, C16H17NO2, the cyclohexene ring adopts a boat conformation, and the five-membered rings have envelope conformations with the bridging atom as the flap. Their mean planes are oriented at a dihedral angle of 86.51 (7)degrees. The molecular structure is stabilized by a short intramolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O contact. In the crystal, molecules are linked by O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds forming chains propagating along [100]. The chains are linked by C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions, forming slabs parallel to (001).Öğe Synthesis, structural characterization, and biological analyses of [C21H23Cu(II)N2O12] complex(Int Union Crystallography, 2015) Celik, Omer; Arslan, Akif; Comlekcioglu, Ugur; Aygan, Ashabil; Aslantas, Mehmet[Abstract Not Available]
