Öğe The Aggloflotation of a Bituminous Coal-feldspar Mixture and a Bituminous Coal-quartz Mixture(Taylor & Francis Inc, 2015) Temel, H. A.The aim of this study was to investigate aggloflotation of bituminous coal-feldspar mixture and bituminous coal-quartz mixture. Experimental studies were conducted on four mixture samples. The study was performed in two groups. Conventional aggloflotation tests were made and the effects of pH and depressant type and amount on the aggloflotation were investigated in the first group experiments. The samples were first treated with sodium oleate in the second group experiments. The effects of pH and sodium oleate amount on the aggloflotation of gangue minerals were studied in order to enhance their response to aggloflotation and then the effect of different depressants on aggloflotation were investigated. The effectiveness of conventional aggloflotation on the removal of gangue minerals containing major elements from the samples were found to be important according to the performed experiments by making selective sodium oleate adsorption.Öğe The Aggoflotation of a Mixture of Subbituminous Coal and Gangue Minerals Using, Sirnak Asphaltite and the Concentrate Obtained from Zonguldak Bituminous Coal(Taylor & Francis Inc, 2010) Temel, H. A.The aim of this study was to study aggloflotation of a mixture of subbituminous coal and gangue minerals using, Sirnak asphaltite and concentrate obtained from Zonguldak bituminous coal. For this purpose, experimental studies were conducted on a mixture containing subbituminous coal, pyrite, quartz, and calcite. The effects of, Sirnak asphaltite and the concentrate obtained from Zonguldak bituminous coal (the C-Z sample) rates, solid concentration, pH, bridging liquid dosage, and frother amount on the aggloflotation were investigated. Aggloflotation results showed that a concentrate containing 3.05% total sulfur and 31.55% ash with a total sulfur reduction of 56.43% was obtained from the mixture in the usage of the C-Z sample and a concentrate containing 3.23% total sulfur and 30.90% ash with a total sulfur reduction of 53.86% was obtained from the mixture in the usage of the asphaltite sample. The best aggloflotation conditions applied to Hazro subbituminous coal containing high ash and sulfur content in the Mediterranean sea water and tap water. When the Mediterranean sea water was used as an aggloflotation medium, a concentrate containing 3.17% total sulfur and 38.67% ash with a total sulfur reduction of 54.91% was obtained from Hazro subbituminous coal in the usage of the C-Z sample. The influence of the Mediterranean sea water on the removal of total sulfur was found to be important.Öğe Desulfurization and Deashing of Adiyaman-Golbasi Lignite by Flotation(Taylor & Francis Inc, 2010) Temel, H. A.; Bozkurt, V.; Ayhan, F. D.In this study, desulfurization and deashing of Adiyaman-Golbasi lignite by the flotation method were studied. For this purpose, the study was performed in three groups. The effects of solid concentration, NaOH, and HCl on the desliming before flotation were investigated in the first group of experiments. The effects of some parameters that markedly influence the effectiveness of flotation, such as grinding time, solid concentration, pH, collector type and amount, depressant type and amount, and frother type and amount on the flotation were investigated in the second group of experiments. The effects of lake water and sea water on the flotation were investigated in the third group of experiments. The influences of the Aegean Sea water and soda lake water on the removal of total sulfur were found to be important.Öğe Enrichment of Elazig-Keban fluorite by flotation method(Taylor & Francis As, 2006) Ayhan, F. D.; Bozdogan, M.; Temel, H. A.In the present study, the upgrading of Elazig-Keban fluorite was studied using flotation method. For this purpose, experimental studies were conducted on the fluorite sample with a composition of 43.3CaF(2)-21.3SiO(2)-32.4CaCO(3). The effects of particle size, pH, depressant amount, depressant conditioning time, collector amount, collector conditioning time and water temperature on the fluorite flotation were investigated. As a result, it was found that while a concentrate containing 92.1% CaF2 with 82% recovery was achieved at 30 degrees C, a concentrate containing 87.2% CaF2 with 76.9% recovery was achieved at 16 degrees C.Öğe Salt Flotation of Sirnak Asphaltite(Taylor & Francis Inc, 2011) Temel, H. A.The aim of this study was to investigate the possibility of cleaning, Sirnak asphaltite by salt flotation. For this purpose, experimental studies were conducted on a, Sirnak asphaltite sample containing high ash and sulfur content. The effects of salt amount, pH, frother amount, and impeller speed on the flotation were investigated separately in different salt (KCI, BaCI2, FeCI3) mediums. The influence of FeCI3 on the removal ash and total sulfur was found to be important.
