    A CLASS OF POISSON DISTRIBUTIONS BASED UPON A TWO-PARAMETER MITTAG-LEFFLER TYPE FUNCTION

    In this paper, we introduce and investigate a new generalization of the Poisson distribution by using a special function of the Mittag-Leffler type, which has arisen in the study of fractional calculus and fractional differential equations. For this class of Poisson type distributions based upon a two-parameter Mittag-Leffler type function, we derive several potentially useful properties including, for example, expressions for the rth moment and other associated entities.
