Öğe SOKAKTA ÇALIŞAN VE ÇALIŞMAYAN ÇOCUKLARIN ATILGANLIK VE SALDIRGANLIK DAVRANIŞLARI AÇISINDAN KARŞILAŞTIRILMALARI(Ankara Üniversitesi, 2004) M., Yüksel Erdoğdu; Oto, R.The aim of this research is to compare children who work in the streets and who do not, in terms of assertiveness and aggressiveness and investigate the relationship betvveen aggressive behaviors and some socio-demographic characteristics of children vvorking in the streets. The research is carried out with 100 participants consisting of 50 children who work in the streets and 50 children who do not. İn order to compare the aggressive and assertive behaviors of the two groups, "Assertiveness Scale" and "Aggressiveness Scale" are used. The results reveal that children vvorking in the streets show more aggressive behaviors than the non-working group of children. Aggressiveness increases with age, violence tovvards the children in the family causes more aggressiveness in the children. There is no significant difference found betvveen the two groups in terms of assertive behaviors. Assertive behaviors decrease with increasing age. İt can be concluded that vvorking in the street causes the child to behave aggressively. Even though it is accepted that being blocked causes aggressive behaviors in individuals, these children cannot be vvon back to the society successfully if being blocked is perceived as the only reason for their aggressiveness. The socio-demographic factors the child lives in are also effective on the child for shovving aggressive behaviors. Although education prevents aggressive behaviors to some extent, it does not promote assertive behaviors
