Türkiyede sınıf yönetimi ile ilgili yapılan bazı araştırmaların değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Öz:Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de sınıf yönetimi alanında yapılan bazı araştırmaları incelemek ve bu çalışmalardan elde edilen bulgu ve sonuçlardan hareketle sınıf yönetimi ile ilgili çeşitli öneriler geliştirmektir. Eğitim alanındaki çağdaş yaklaşımların öğretimi öğretmen merkezli olmaktan çıkarıp öğrenci merkezli hale getirmesi nedeniyle, öğretmen öğreten kişi olmaktan ziyade, öğrencinin öğrenmesini sağlayan, yani sınıfta öğretim sürecini yöneten ve yönlendiren kişi konumuna girmiştir. Bütün bu gelişmeler kaliteli ve verimli bir öğretim için sınıfın çok iyi yönetilmesini bir zorunluluk haline getirmiştir. Ancak geleneksel olarak eğitim sistemimizde sınıf yönetiminin bir disiplin sağlama etkinliği olarak görüldüğü söylenebilir. Bu nedenle yapılan araştırmalar daha çok sınıf yönetiminin davranış düzenlemeleri ve insan ilişkileri boyutlarıyla ilgilidir. Fiziksel düzenlemeler, zamanın etkili kullanımı ve plan-program etkinlikleri boyutlarındaki araştırmaların çok az olduğu görülmektedir. Bu boyutlardaki araştırmaların artırılması gerekir. Diğer taraftan sınıf yönetimi araştırmaları genellikle ilköğretim düzeyinde yoğunlaşmış, ortaöğretim ve yükseköğretim düzeyinde daha az yapılmıştır. Bundan sonraki çalışmalarda ortaöğretim ve yükseköğretim düzeylerindeki çalışmalara ağırlık verilmesi gerekmektedir.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine some researches on classroom management that were conducted in Turkey and to advance proposals about classroom management in the light of the results and findings of these researches. Since the modern approaches in educational fields brought teaching into more student centred position than teacher centred education, a teacher has become the person who administers the teaching process and guides the students to learn more than the person who just teaches. All these improvements have made it necessary to manage the class very well for qualified and efficient education. But traditionally, it can be said that classroom management is accepted as keeping the discipline in our educational system. Therefore, most of the researches are on the behaviour modification and human relations dimensions of classroom management. There are few researches on physical arrangement, planning instructional programme, effective using academic time dimensions of classroom management. The researches in these dimensions should be enriched. Additionally, most of the researches have been concentrated on the level of primary education and there are fewer researches on secondary education and higher education levels. It is necessary to concentrate on secondary and higher education levels in the following studies.
