It was observed that protein synthesis decreased compared to D-glucose media. Moreover much more protein is synthesized in 2-deoxy-D-glucose media when reticulocyte S-100 are examined in the polyphenylalanine test system, compared to D-glucose media. When reticulocyte S-100 obtained from D-glucose containing incubation medium were examined in polyphenylalanine test system, much more protein is synthesized in the presence of rat liver Elongation Factor-2 as compared with the media were Elongation Factor-2 is absent. On the other hand it was observed that elongation factor-1 did not significantly influence protein synthesis on polyphenylalanine test system of reticulocyte S-100 with-D-glucose media.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccess[No Keyword]EFFECT OF 2-DEOXY-D-GLUCOSE ON PROTEIN-SYNTHESISEFFECT OF 2-DEOXY-D-GLUCOSE ON PROTEIN-SYNTHESISArticle83205213WOS:A1992JH28600010N/A
