For methicillin susceptibility testing, 1 ?g oxacillin disks were used, and of 103 S.aureus strains isolated from clinical samples (pus, urine, blood, throat, ear, sputum), 53 (51.4%) were found to be methicillin resistant whereas 48 (46.6%) were methicillin sensitive.
