As this method allows 3-dimensional images to betaken providing safe and high quality results, without damaging thesamples being examined, it is often preferred. Consequently, it hasbecome possible to record rapid progression in endodontic studies inparticular and to research and easily compare several techniques.Furthermore, this method can be used in tissue engineering, forming datafor FEM analysis, the growth and development of craniofacial bones, imaging bone structure, and in the evaluation of implants and surroundingbone in root tip surgery, to determine mineral concentration in the teethand to measure the thickness of enamel. The aim of this review was to focus on the areas of use of μCT in dentistryand state the advantages.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMicro-computed tomographyX-ray micro-CTDental applicationThree-dimensional imagingThe use of micro-computed tomography in dental applicationsThe use of micro-computed tomography in dental applicationsArticle92789133097910.5577/intdentres.2019.vol9.no2.7
