Suriye'deki İhvân-ı Müslimîn teşkilatına mensup bir âlim olan Havva, el-Esâs fi't-Tefsîr adlı Tefsiriyle meşhurdur. Bu tefsirini çoğunlukla İbn Kesîr, Nesefî, Âlûsî ve Seyyid Kutub'un kaleme aldığı tefsirleri esas alarak kaleme almıştır. Saîd Havvâ, tefsirini Kur'ân konularının bütünlüğü nazariyesini ispatlamak ve Kur'ân mesajlarını İslâmî davet çalışmalarında çağın idrakine en etkili biçimde sunmak amacıyla modern bir üslupla kaleme almıştır. el-Esâs, üslûbu itibariyle hem ortalama kültür seviyesine sahip okuyucu kitlesine hem de Kur'ân ilimlerinde derinleşmiş olanlara aynı anda hitap eden yönüyle temayüz etmektedir. el-Esâs'ta ele alınan konuların kısa, öz ve yalın biçimde işlendiği görülmektedir. Saîd Havvâ, tefsirinde Kur'ân'da konu bütünlüğü nazariyesi ile Kur'ân'da konu dağınıklığı olmadığını ispat etmeye gayret etmiştir. Ona göre kaleme aldığı el-Esâs adlı tefsiri, bu nazariyesi Kur'ân'ın geneli etrafında işleyen ilk eser olma özelliğini taşımaktadır. Bu teze göre, Fatiha Sûresi, Kur'ân'ın önsözü, Bakara Sûresi ise Kur'ân'ın özü, özeti ve esasıdır. Yani bütün sûrelerin Bakara Sûresi'nde anlam eksenleri vardır. Buna göre Kur'ân'ın her bir Sûresi'nin, Bakara süresinde özü ve esası vardır. Saîd Havvâ, el-Esâs fi't-Tefsîr'i, dirâyet yöntemiyle kaleme almıştır. Tefsirini Kur'ân'ın konu bütünlüğü nazariyesi etrafında şekillendiren müellif, çağımızda kapsamlı eser okumaya fırsat bulamayan kesimlerin, tefsir okuma ihtiyacını karşılamak için başlıklandırarak telif etmiştir. Ayet lafızlarının harfi manalarını merak edenler için harfî tefsîr bölümünde özlü bilgi; Kur'ân mesajlarının ilmi detaylarına hâkim olmak isteyenler için ise tamamlayıcı bilgi başlığıyla ayrıntılı etüd çalışmalarında bulunmuştur. Saîd Havvâ, el-Esâs'ta Kur'ân konularının birbirinden kopuk ve ilişkisiz olduğu iddialarını, bütün Kur'ân pasajları bağlamında mevzuları ayrıntılı şekilde ele alarak çürütmektedir. Bu çalışmasının vücut bulmasında etkin rol oynayan diğer bir unsur ise Müslümanların yeniden diriliş mefkûresidir. Saîd Havvâ'nın bu vesileyle sunduğu en çarpıcı çözüm önerisi, Kur'ân'ı sağlıklı anlama ve yorumlama becerisinin tüm İslâmî kesimlerde edinilmesi zorunlu bir ödev haline getirilmesi şeklinde özetlenebilir. Müteşâbih ayetler konusunda Selef âlimlerinin görüşlerini tercih eden Havva, hurûf-ımukattaayı Kur'ân konularının bütünlüğü nazariyesinde anahtar roldeki şifreler olarak görmektedir. Havvâ, İsrailiyat haberlerini Kur'ân'ın temel ilke ve esaslarına aykırı olmamak koşuluyla sadece konunun daha da iyi anlaşılmasını sağlamak için eserine almıştır. Aynı şekilde müellifimize göre İ'cazu'l-Kur'ân konusu, günümüz kitlelerinin en çok ihtiyaç duyduğu mevzudur. Ona göre Kur'ân'da nesh çok az yerde ve o günün koşulları uyarınca vulu bulmuştur.Saîd Havvâ is one of our mufasseer lived in Syria between 1935-1989 and deceased in Amman. Havvâ, a scholar who is a member of Ikhvân-ı Muslim organization in Syria, is famous for his tafseer called Al Asas fi't Tafseer. He mostly wrote his tafseer on the basis of İbn Kathir, Nasafi, Alusi and Sayyeed Qutub tafseers. Saîd Havvâ wrote his work in modern style in order to prove the theory of the Qur'anic unity and with intent to present the Qur'anic messages in the most effective way to the cognition of the age in the Islamic invitations. Al-Asâs has come to the fore both appealing the average cultural level of readership as well as readers that have a deep knowledge of Qur'an disciplines at the same time by means of the writing method. It is possible to see that the subjects are handled in a short, concise and simple way in Al-Asâs. Havva tries to prove that there is no clutter in the Qur'an with the theory of the unity of the Qur'an. According to him, the tafseer that he wrote is the first work that handles this theory across the Qur'an. With reference to this, Al-Fatiha is the preface to the Qur'an, Al-Baqara is the gist, summary and essence of Qur'an. All surahs have semantic axes in the Surah Al-Baqara. Each surah explains the meanings of axis in the Al-Baqara too. Saîd Havvâ wrote al Asas fi't tafseer with tenacity method. The author who shapes his tafseer around the theory of the Qur'anic unity has wrote his work with modern title way to meet the need of reading tafseer that can not read the comprehensive works in our age. For those who wonder about the literal meaning of the verses, he has carried out a study in literal commentary section, and for those who want to master the scientific details of the Qur'an messages, he has performed a detailed study with the complementary information heading. In al-Esâs, Said Havvâ, refutes the claims that the subjects of the Qur'an are disconnected and unrelated in the context of all Qur'an passages in detail. Another factor that plays an active role in the incarnation of this study is the goal of resurrection of Muslims. The most striking solution offered by Saîd Havvâ on this occasion can be summarized as the necessity of acquiring the ability to understand well and interpret the Qur'an in all Islamic sections. Havvâ, who prefers the views of Salaf scholars about regarding the verses, sees hurûf-u muqattaa as key codes in the integrity of the Qur'anic subjects. Havvâ get Israiliyyat news into his work only to ensure a better understanding of the subjec, provided that it is not against the basic principles of the Qur'an. In the same way, according to our author, the subject of i'cazul'l Qur'an is the most needed subject by today's masses.
