Before the tests, a mixture fuel was created by adding 3% acetone by volume to the diesel oil. Combustion and emission characteristics were investigated by using a diesel engine at 1500 constant engine speed and different average effective pressures (BMEP). Results; With the addition of 3% acetone to diesel fuel, increases were observed in all combustion parameters (in-cylinder pressure, pressure increase rate, average gas temperature, heat release rate).
