The study area is a transitional zone between the boundaries of Central Anatolia and Middle Black Sea region. From the phytogeographical point of view, it is situated between the Euro-Siberian and Irano-Turanian floristic regions. The vegetation of the study area was analyzed according to the Braun-Blanquet method and the plant associations are classified by considering the characteristic species.
