Özet
In this study, the activity of fusidic acid to methicillin-sensitive and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus strains was investigated by disk diffusion method. For methicillin susceptibility testing, 1 ?g oxacillin disks were used, and of 103 S.aureus strains isolated from clinical samples (pus, urine, blood, throat, ear, sputum), 53 (51.4%) were found to be methicillin resistant whereas 48 (46.6%) were methicillin sensitive. Resistance to fusidic acid was detected in 10 (18.9%) of methicillin-resistant and in 2 (4.2%) of methicillin-sensitive S.aureus isolates.
