Özet
The aim of this study is evaluating the ergonomic suitability of elementary school in Diyarbakir from the view point of architecture. The mean heights of students in the classrooms were determined and the total area per student in classrooms was also calculated for this purpose. The height of classrooms and surface area of windows in the classrooms were also calculated as design parameters. The obtained values were compared with the proposed values for Turkey. In the scope of mentioned base parameters, the study was evaluated in two elementary schools and the results were submitted comparatively. It was believed that the study will be useful in being a data source for producing suitable ergonomic designs to the users for designers.
