dc.description.abstractOestrosis, koyun ve keçilerin burun boşluğu ve frontal sinuslarına yerleşip gelişen Oestrus ovis sineğinin birinci, ikinci ve üçüncü dönem larvalarının neden olduğu bir nazofarengeal miyazdır. Bu çalışmanın amacı Oestrus ovis larvaları ile doğal enfeste ivesi koyunlarda lipid peroksidasyon, total antioksidan kapasite ve bazı hematolojik parametreler üzerine olan etkisini araştırmaktır. Kırk ivesi koyun üzerinde yürütülen çalışmada Oestrus ovis enfestasyonlarının moleküler tanısı için koyunların her iki burun deliğinden steril pamuklu swaplar ile mukus numuneleri alındı. Lipid perokidasyonu ve total antioksidan kapasite seviyeleri ile total lökosit sayısı, eritrosit sayısı, hematokrit değer ve hemoglobin konsantrasyonunun belirlenmesi için koyunların vena jugularislerinden kan örnekleri alındı. Kırk swap örneğinden 35’inin semi-nested PCR yöntemi kullanılarak enfestasyon yönünden pozitif olduğu tespit edildi. Enfeste olduğu tespit edilen hayvanlar burun akıntısının şiddetine göre iki gruba ayrıldı (grup 1: hafif burun akıntısı olanlar; grup 2: şiddetli burun akıntısı olanlar). Grup 1 ve 2’de serum lipid peroksidasyonu artışının kontrol grubuna göre istatiksel olarak önemli olduğu belirlendi (p˂0.05). Grup 1 ve grup 2 kontrol grubu ile kıyaslandığında total antioksidan kapasitede azalma görülmesine rağmen, kontrol grubu ile aralarındaki farkın istatiksel olarak önemli olmadığı belirlendi (p>0.05). Hematolojik parametrelerde gruplar arasında önemli farklılık bulunmadı (p>0.05). Sonuç olarak, koyunlarda Oestrus ovis larvalarının neden olduğu doku hasarı, lipid peroksidasyonun artışına neden olabileceği kanısına varıldıen_US
dc.description.abstractOestrosis, a nasal myiasis of sheep and goats, is caused by the larvae of Oestrus ovis, which develop from first to third stage larva in the nasal cavity and frontal sinuses of sheep and goats. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of oestrosis on lipid peroxidation, total antioxidant capacity and some hematological parameters in sheep naturally infested with Oestrus ovis larvae. The study was carried out on forty sheep. For molecular diagnosis of oestrosis, mucus samples were collected from both the nasal meatuses of sheep with sterile cotton swabs. Blood samples were collected from vena jugularis of sheep for determination of lipid peroxidation and total antioksidant capacity levels, and white blood cell count, red blood cell count, packed cell volume and hemoglobin concentration. Diagnosis of oestrosis was made by semi-nested PCR. The 35 out of 40 swabs samples were found positive for oestriosis. The infested animals were divided into two groups according to severity of nasal discharge (group1: with less nasal discharge; group 2: with severe nasal discharge). It was determined that the elevation in serum lipid peroxidation levels established a significant difference between the control group and groups 1, 2 (p˂0.05). Althought decreased were seen in total antioxidant capacity, there were no significant differences between the control group, group 1 and 2 (p>0.05). Significant differences were not determined in hematological parameters between groups (p>0.05). In conclusion, Oestrus ovis larvae can cause tissue damage which result to increasing in lipid peroxidation in sheep.en_US
