Özet
The paper deals with the surface water temperature (SWT), which is one of the main ecological factors exerting influ- ence on atmosphere temperature and heat balance in the Salt lake region in Turkey. We applied the remote sensing method and satellite data. We established the monthly (minimum, maximum and average) mean surface water temperatures for the 1993-2008 period. Multi- year comparison shows a trend to surface* water temperature decrease for the period considered. We found the regression equa- tion of this trend. One of the main reasons explaining the trend is the reduction of depth and volume of the Salt lake and the decrease of its energy storage capacity.
