dc.description.abstractBu araştırmanın amacı, Türkiye‟de ilköğretim, ortaöğretim ve lisans öğrencilerinin geometrik anlama seviyelerinin mevcut durumunu, yapılan araştırma sonuçlarından yola çıkarak meta-sentez yöntemi ile ortaya koymaktır. Bu araştırmada 1999-2014 yılları arasında Türkiye‟de tüm öğretim kademelerinde “Van Hiele Geometrik Düşünme Düzey Belirleme Testi” içeren, dahil edilme ve hariç tutulma işlemleri çerçevesinde bu meta-sentez çalışmanın amacına hizmet edebilecek, nitel veya nicel araştırma yöntemlerini kullanarak hazırlanmış 38 yüksek lisans ve doktora tezi, 20 bilimsel makale araştırma kapsamına alınmıştır. Çalışmada ele alınan tüm örneklemlerdeki öğrencilerin Van Hiele geometrik düşünme düzeylerinin oldukça düşük seviyede olduğu görülmektedir. İlköğretim, ortaöğretim ve lisans öğrencilerinin sahip olmaları gereken geometrik düşünme düzeylerine ulaşamadıkları tespit edilmiştir. Farklı öğretim kademeleri ve yaş grupları üzerinde yapılan çalışma bulguları, öğrencilerin geometri düşünme düzeylerinin yaşa veya olgunlaşmaya bağlı olmayabileceğini, daha çok geometri deneyimlerine bağlı olabileceğini göstermektedir.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis study aims to reveal the current state of geometric thinking levels of primary education, secondary education, and undergraduate students in Turkey by using meta-synthesis method based on studies conducted. 38 postgraduate and doctoral theses and 20 scientific articles, which were carried out between 1999 and 2014 in Turkey in all educational stages by using “Van Hiele Geometrical Thinking Placement Test”, which could serve the aim of this meta-synthesis within the scope of inclusion and exclusion procedures and which were prepared by using qualitative or quantitative research methods, were included within the scope of the present study. Van Hiele Geometrical thinking levels of the students in all samples included in the study were found to be quite low. It was found that primary, secondary and undergraduate students failed to reach the level of geometrical thinking which they were supposed to have. Studies conducted on different educational stages and different age groups showed that geometric thinking levels of students may not depend on age or maturing, while they may be mostly associated with their geometry experiences.en_US
