The causative agent of hydatid cyst disease is Echinococcus granulosus. Hydatid cysts are usually located in the liver and the lungs; they are very rarely seen in the breasts. Herein, a 62-year-old woman with isolated left breast hydatid cysts is presented. The patient had the complaint of painless mass in the left breast for one year. Imaging methods revealed a mobile lesion with smooth margins. Under local anesthesia, the mass was totally removed. Pathological examination made the diagnosis of hydatid cyst. The patient received mebendazole treatment for 3 months. During follow-up visits, no recurrence was found.en_US
