Özet
Four specimens of Nannospalax ehrenbergi, collected 7 km to the east of Kills, south-eastern Turkey, display a unique karyotype: 2n = 52, NF = 74, and NFa = 70. The karyotype consisted of 6 pairs of metacentrics, 4 pairs of submetacentrics and 15 pairs of acrocentrics. The X chromosome was medium-sized submetacentric and the Y chromosome a small acrocentric. This chromosomal set is very similar to the most common karyotype seen in Turkish N. ehrenbergi as described first from Elazig (2n = 52, NF = 76, NFa = 72).
