Nine groundnut varieties were evaluated for yield and some yield components, as well as their relationships between them at the Experimental Area of Agriculture Faculty, Dicle University, during 1999 and 2000. The variation for all characters examined was not found to be significant. However, avarage pod yield varied between 3.04 and 2.57 t $ha^{-1}$, and the oil content ranged from 47.43% and 48.39% in 1999 and 2000, respectively. In this study, by using the data from all nine genotypes within each year calculation of correlation coefficient ( r ) resulted in high positive correlations between pod yield and pod number, pod weight, 100 kernel weight and oil content. Thus, while selection is made to enhance the productivity level in terms of higher pod yield, greater emphasis may be placed on the number of pod, pod weight and 100 kernel weight.en_US
