Özet
Toruslar iyi huylu ve genellikle semptom göstermeyen kemik büyümeleridir. Mandibular toruslar genellikle multisferoidal
formlara sahiptirler. Toruslar yüzyıldan uzun süredir bilinmesine rağmen, biyolojik anlamları ve morfolojik özellikleri hala tam olarak
kavranamamıştır. Mandibular toruslar genellikle bilateral olarak mandibulanın lingual bölgesinde mylohyoid sırtın üzerine lokalize
olan kemik büyümesidir. Bu olguda, herhangi bir sistemik hastalığı olmayan 30 yaşındaki bir kadın hastanın tedavi süreci
anlatılmaktadır.
Torus are benign and usually asymptomatic bone growths. Mandibular torus usually have multispheroidal forms. Although toruses have been known for over a century, their biological meanings and morphological features are still not fully understood. Mandibular toruses are bony growths localized above the mylohyoid ridge in the lingual region of the mandible, usually bilaterally. In this case, the treatment process of a 30-year-old female patient without any systemic disease is described.
